from [livejournal.com profile] liviapenn: Make a list of all the characters in your icons. (Although you may have more than one icon of a single character, they only go on the list once.) Alphabetize it. Take the first two people on the list; that's your first pairing. Second two people; second pairing, etc.

I just used the names I call them in my head, and I got:

Blair/Brian (The Breakfast Club). Grown geek/young geek!

Dumbledore/Fraser. I'm not sure what Fraser would make of Dumbledore's whimsy, but on the other hand, Fraser of all people is not going to be shocked at the existence of magic. And Dumbledore would be reassuringly matter-of-fact about Fraser being followed around by his father's ghost.

Frog!Harry/Harry. OK, that is just wrong.

Hermione/John. Now, actually, that would be fun. Can't you see it? John being bossed around and outsmarted by a little schoolgirl while Rodney can't decide whether to cheer John's defeat or shove this five-foot upstart out of the way and show her how you really humiliate a guy?

Ray/Rodney. Uh-huh. Let's try that "hunch" thing on Rodney and see how long it takes him to stop laughing. On the other hand, with a little alcohol, the two of them might end up having a good time comparing tales of woe. And I'd kind of like to see Rodney let loose on Stella.

Ron/Snape. It's been done, though not often.

If I don't delete the icons that are characters but not fannish characters, the end of the list gets even better, because you've got

Little Red Riding Hood/Ray. See, I can kind of see this. There's a wolf readily available, of course, and then there's Fraser, tailor-made to be a woodcutter, and ... Detective, what big glasses you have.

Rodney/Ron. If Rodney considers medicine to be voodoo, wonder how he'd be with actual magic? Possibly Ron stumbles upon an analogy with cooking, in which case Rodney would suddenly be quite a believer.

Scarlett O'Hara/Snape. Oh my. Two scenarios.

1. "Oh, Mistah Snape, those clothes will nevah do. Now you just sit rat thayah and I'll have something for you in a jiffy. I had a cousin just about youah size ..." Snape finds himself in mid-makeover before his head stops spinning, and isn't his hair dashing tied back with a black velvet ribbon?

2. "As God is my witness I'll nevah --"
"Stupefy."

God, yes. (All my comments will start with "God...")

I've never managed to make it through GWtW, mostly because Scarlett annoys the ever-lovin' crap out of me. God, the more I think about it...

Hee! Love these.

>And Dumbledore would be reassuringly matter-of-fact about Fraser being followed around by his father's ghost.<

Dumbledore: “The dead we love will never truly leave us.”

Fraser: “Ah. I was afraid of that. Is there any way to keep them quiet, then?”
