Man, everywhere I go I'm trailed by the ghosts of stories I haven't written! No way I can limit it to just one.
I'm sorry I never wrote the sequel to American Way where Ray K. would have to pass for Canadian. Chat log from 2002: resonant pictures Ray with his hand on the top button of Fraser's shirt: Very softly: "May I?"
I'm sorry I never wrote "True Minds," in which adult, postwar Harry and Snape become partners in Legilimency, but there's something dreadful in their shared past. I posted a fragment of it here.
I'm sorry I never wrote the follow-up to Experience in SGA; it was going to be called "Innocence" and take place in canon time. At first John thought Rodney was playing some sort of weird psychotic game with him. How else could you explain Rodney McKay -- *Rodney McKay* -- shaking his hand and calling him Major Sheppard? Rodney saying, "Think of where we are in the universe" in the same authoritative tone that John remembered him using for "Go on, take your clothes off, nothing I haven't seen before."
I need to finish what I start, because after a while stories get stiff and unworkable like dried-up play-doh.
