Oh, yeah, I know -- but it's a little like the irritation industry trying to get around the Do Not Call lists. As Dave Barry suggested, it seems incredibly stupid to go out of your way to throw *more* annoyance at people who already don't want to do business with you.
And from what I understand, there are new 'smart' spam filters that catch w.o.r.d.s with stupid punctuation that's one of the other dodges.
I suppose it's ironic to be so annoyed by that crap, considering I'm *writing* stuff that would make a Fundie turn puce, but the spam is not only trash, it's such *poorly written* trash...
