My friendslist has come through with lots of information on allergy shots and getting rid of mold and dust mites. I had no idea that so many people in slash-land had allergy problems. I'm going to have to update my concept of the Stereotypical Slasher: Intelligent, imaginative, bisexual, introverted, somewhat perverted, myopic female with a small tattoo and non-functioning sinuses.

could be on to something there. i mean, my worst allergies are the pollens, which means i'm not supposed to spend too much time outside ...

re: your dusts and molds, someone on the previous post said Swiffer and i'm all over that; i feel like my place is pretty well under control, dust-wise. (and dust-mite-wise, too -- i'm also in favor of the special non-allergenic bedding and the nifty vacuum bags.) mold-wise, the only real danger spots for me are likely to be the bathroom and, like, under the fridge, and the thing there is just not to let things stay damp.

re: shots -- like someone said (i should have kept track of names), it's totally important that the people administering the shots keep track of the dosage each time. at my student health, they show me the vial with my name on it, and they show me the syringe with the serum loaded into it, before they even pull the syringe out of the vial, but maybe i'm spoiled. in any event, you already know how i feel about how the shots have changed my life, so i won't go into all that again. :-)

No tattoos, and I don't much like the label "bisexual" (it makes the whole thing sound like a supermarket -- hmm, today I think I'll have a girl, as if there weren't... yeah, shutting up about that now). However, I do have sinus problems, so you may be onto something -- like the nasal version of phrenology.

That's me, but with several small tattoos and cats. Major mold allergies here, but I can recommend the ionic breeze air purifier from sharperimage.com. It works wonderfully well, even if it costs a chunk of change.

Well, I don't have any tattoos, and my sinuses seem to function properly, but does it count if I have lots of cats and books instead?

I love your description: that's wonderful, and a fine amalgamation!

No small tattoo (yet), though I continue to toy with the idea of a small sparkly nose stud. Then again, see above, re: dysfunctional sinuses... *g*

Oh, I get it! It's the slash's fault!!! I never had allergies until about four years ago. Coincidently about the same time I discovered the wonderful world of slash. Sinus problems - slash... it's all a horrible conspiracy. ;-}

I join the refrain: no tattoo. May I substitute four surgical scars on both arms (they mirror each other), another on my head, and a faint one on my nose? That last one was from one of my boys, who decided to demonstrate a karate move on me and put me face first into a brick floor (broken noses hurt for a month, if you never had one). That didn't help my sinus problem, either, lol.

Hmm, my sinuses are fine and I'm only pondering the tattoo at this point, but otherwise? Correct. If I lived in a building that allowed pets, hello cat and hello allergies.

Also pondering septum piercing, but not sure it's worth the bother.

Well, I sort of always wanted a tattoo, but at this point I'm put off by the documented cases of people becoming allergic to the ink under their skin over time. Disposition, and all that.

Oh wait, husband just reminded me of the (very small) tattoo I did myself with the help of some indian ink and a pin when I was sixteen. Right.

Only somewhat perverted?

The rest, though, definitely. *eg* (It's not so much that I'm introverted as I can't stand 99% of the human race.)

I'm curious as to where you got 'myopic' from.
(says the slasher who can read the number of a bus when it's naught but a speck in the distance)

Wow, I must add my surprise to the growing list of thus described slashers. Very true, very true in deed. Except for this part:

myopic female with a small tattoo
