Newly discovered squick ( cut on account of not-work-safe-ness )
Nitpicking, again.
Mar. 7th, 2003 11:17 pmTwo spelling notes of special interest to HP writers:
P-H-I-A-L. (Not phile or phiol.)
V-I-A-L. (Not vile. Or viol, though it amuses me to imagine Snape opening his nightstand drawer and pulling a musical instrument out of it.)
And of course there's no law that says Snape can't get his slick out of a bottle, tube, or jar like everybody else.

Feb. 11th, 2003 02:16 pmA brief and probably pathetic whine about the title of my website:
in medias Res.
"Medias." Not "media." It means "into the midst of things." "Midst" is plural in Latin.
Sorry, but it grates on me. Like someone persistently spelling my name wrong.
